About Breathwork Teacher & Facilitator – Megan

breathwork facilitator and teacher Megan

I have a passion for exploring the world and all things health-related. My own health struggles coupled with my strong belief in the healing power of a wholefoods-based diet and healthy living led me to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where I obtained a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) designation.

Despite my knowledge as an RHN, I continued to struggle because I felt like I didn’t have the willpower to implement the diet and lifestyle changes that were necessary to optimize my own health. If I couldn’t follow my own advice, I couldn’t possibly expect clients to. This led me to the HeartSong Hypnotherapy Center where I became a Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCHt). My hypnotherapy schooling allowed me to address the subconscious mental roadblocks associated with making lasting healthy changes.

Addressing the body and mind was fantastic, but I still felt like a piece of the puzzle was still missing. I realized that I needed to address the heart and soul and work somatically in order to truly help myself and others achieve optimal health and happiness. This led me to India, where I studied under yoga guru Padma Nair. While in India, I obtained my Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher designation(RYT200).

Being a Breathwork Teacher Is My Biggest Passion

Prior to discovering Breathwork, I embarked on a fifteen-year healing quest, exhaustively exploring every avenue to release trauma and negative subconscious patterns, dismantle the barriers enclosing my heart, and uncover the path to becoming the joyful, contented individual I had always aspired to be.  Although I have great respect for yoga, hypnotherapy, plant medicine, Shamanic healing, nutritional therapy, energy medicine, meditation, EFT, Law of Attraction, life coaching, and everything else that I have studied and utilized on my quest for healing, it was Breathwork that brought about the quickest and most profound transformations.

When I went to my first Breathwork session in Bali (blindly and with no expectations) and released decades of stored grief in just one session, I knew immediately I had found my calling and that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others heal themselves with their breath. In addition to the intensive 9-month, 400-hour Breathwork training program I undertook with Alchemy of Breath, I also mentored on a 400-hour training with Make Some Breathing Space, and studied Reiki 1 and 2 to offer adjunctively during the breathwork. The two together provide an incredibly deep somatic journey that opens the body and soul up to exactly what needs to be felt, seen, healed, and released.

My current business is focused mainly on using the breath for healing and transformation through facilitating Breathwork and also teaching people to become certified Breathing Space Breathwork Facilitators. I am also available to help clients reach their health goals by taking a holistic approach that addresses not only their diet, exercise, and lifestyle choices but also any mental, emotional and/or spiritual blocks that they may be struggling with as well.

Trauma & Abuse Recovery

My biggest passions are trauma, addiction, and abuse recovery. I have a depth of knowledge in psychology, developmental and birthing trauma, narcissism, and abuse of all types.  And I love sharing this knowledge with others and using it to help my clients achieve the lasting healing, empowerment, and inner peace that they deserve!

Wellness Writing

When I’m not working with clients, I pursue my other passion— writing. I love to write because it allows me to share my knowledge on a mass scale. I currently have over 1,000 health-related articles published, including a feature article in Canadian Living Magazine. Plus, I have ghostwritten several books on the following topics: Breathwork, love and intimacy, hormones and health, Covid and the immune system, Breath practices for everyday thriving, and more. I also provide marketing and other copywriting services to Breathwork and wellness schools and practitioners.

Please contact me if you would like a virtual Breathwork session, health mentor, and/or if you would like to become my apprentice and train to be a Certified Breathwork Facilitator.

Looking forward to connecting with you!
